Our Culture and Philosophy of Care:
One of the first qualities visitors notice about The Susan J. Rheem Adult Day Center and The Margaret T. Morris Center, the programs of Adult Care Services (ACS) is the warm, welcoming feeling they experience as soon as they walk through our front doors. New employees and visitors alike have commented that there is something special about ACS… something that sets it apart from other adult care communities. We believe that difference resides in the positive culture we foster at our organization and the longevity of our employees.
An integral aspect of our culture is Person Centered Care an internationally renowned approach to care that honors every individual’s unique personhood and focuses on respect for personal preferences and dignity. As a Person Centered Care community, we believe that every person we serve has a right to enjoy the best possible quality of life.
Our culture also recognizes the importance of high quality and reliable service. This standard of service extends not only to day center participants and assisted living residents, but also to all co-workers, visitors and other individuals we have the opportunity to serve. Because every person within ACS is a partner in providing outstanding care and service, everyone who is employed with our organization is acknowledged as a Care Partner.
The ACS “Code of Honor” is designed to put our constructive culture into actionable principles that all Care Partners understand and endorse. This code exemplifies the organization’s shared values and beliefs and fosters an environment in which Care Partners feel empowered, respected and appreciated so that they have the support needed to best serve our clients, participants and residents. Our “Code of Honor” emphasizes the importance of concepts such as honesty, integrity and personal accountability and encourages all Care Partners to be solution-oriented, maintain positive attitudes and celebrate the successes of clients, participants, residents and fellow Care Partners.
We hope you will take the opportunity to experience this positive, constructive culture yourself. To visit any of our ACS communities, call us at 928-771-2335 or request information by emailing Marsha.
